Hi my name is Anna and I am the founder and creator of Anna’s Painting and Decorating ….

 

A little about me, my story and my work ethos….

 

I started painting and decorating in 2005 a year after leaving school. I have always had a flare for design and after trying to pursue a career in Interior design, I soon understood as a natural practical person I wanted to be more hands on in the field. I found a local building company in the area taking on apprenticeships in painting and decorating and with out knowing much about the construction industry found my self the only woman employed by the company, on site at 17.

 

 I had a hard working ethos ingrained in me from an early age and I took to painting very well. knowing that I could potentially go out on my own one day was my main focus. Apprenticeships are extremely hard work but with persistence it payed off and as soon as I was qualified I was out on my own. I was lucky enough to be featured in 3 articles about women in the trade.
